The similar terms VO - WVO and SVO may all be used to indicate the use
of a vegetable oil.
BioDiesel is SVO or WVO
that has been chemically altered to attain the viscosity properties similar
to regular diesel.
BioDiesel will run in your engine without any conversion
using the existing tank
However, there are a few possible WARNINGS: In older
vehicles the rubber used in the fuel system may destabilize over
time. You may need to replace a few of those hoses with newer material
not sensitive to the biodiesel. Older vehicles that have had many
miles or years of running Diesel fuels then switching to BioDiesel
may experience filter clogging problems from the BioDiesel cleaning
effect on the diesel scum accumulation in the tank. If you are using
an old vehicle it is recommended that you have your tank cleaned
to avoid repeated filter clogging problems.
Any Diesel vehicle can be converted to run on
SVO/WVO
Some vehicles require more elements
to successfully run WVO than others, but all vehicles can be made to run WVO
with the proper conversion elements.
WVO simply needs to be Heated to attain
a viscosity level comparable with fuel injection.
WVO should be filtered thorough at least
.10 microns, preferably .5 microns before putting into your conversion tank.
You should also let that filtered oil Settle. See
Filtering Info
You should be able to get as much WVO
as you want - for FREE from local businesses that use a
deep fat fryer.
Your vehicle can run on either Diesel
(or BioDiesel), in one tank and WVO
in a second tank
There are many different types of Conversion kits - professionally
manufactured
as well as home made versions
